This old biddy scared the crap out of me at an early age. According to her, if we sinned, Jesus would come down on a cloud and start chucking bombs at us. Great thing to learn at grade 2. I remember her foul breath and nasty ass teeth most vividly

Given 2007-11-22

Religious teaching grade 2 by ~Dr-Alkaline is a hilarious depiction of what many of us went through in school. Some nasty old bitty telling us our playground antics were evil. Good times. Somewhat reminiscent of Ren & Stimpy grunge art; this gritty but classical cartoon has fantastic colours and textures. (Featured by `misskittyoooo)

She looks a lot like a teacher I had in school, haha! She made me stand in a corner for hours because I'd accidentally snapped my pencil.
I love the halftone pattern in the background, and the texture round the edges too :)

Thanks guys.. Quarkenzyme the glow on the specs was simply some blotches of white on a layer above the art, then I Gaussian blurred the crap out of it..

Without the title or description, I wouldn't really get that this piece was satirical. I would have just seen it as an excitable grandmother telling a story to her frightened grandkid. :giggle: Excellent style, though, and interesting colour choice!
